Ate here on our last trip to Asheville a few years ago and enjoyed it so much, we made it our first choice for dinner on our recent trip back! We've always gotten their food to-go, and not only is it delicious when we get it home, it's still great warmed up as leftovers the next day. We were ordering for 15 people, so we took advantage of their BBQ Family Pack - 2lbs of pork or chicken, 4 buns, 3 sides, a dozen hush puppies, and sauces. So two family packs and 3 extra pounds of brisket for our group, and not only was it plenty, but we had leftovers to share the next day. Plus it only came out to about $250 - which for 15 people is a great price. While all their meat was delicious, their brisket is where they shined. Tender, smoky, and so flavorful. And their mac n cheese and fried okra were the best of the sides - couldn't get any better. Highly recommend getting their BBQ while in the Asheville area. You will not only leave completely satisfied, but it will leave you wanting more.

Wow! In town for a few days and our friend took us to this fine bbq restaurant (our treat)! Everything everyone had was marvelous. We enjoyed bbq brisket, burnt ends, Mac and hoop, sweet potato chips, fries, deviled eggs and more! Nice variety of bbq sauces, served on the side. In particular, The burnt ends were like meat candy - and the portion was large and filling. Service was friendly and efficient. Order at the counter, get your number, then sit back and enjoy. Off street parking lot. The real deal on bbq! I'm a fan!!

Orders are placed up front and they bring them to your table when ready. It can get busy so make sure you order everything you need in on fell swoop. There are lots of tables to sit at both indoor and outdoor. My friend and I shared the Combo tray with brisket and ribs. We for their sides of spicy vinegar slaw, Mac n cheese, fried okra, and Low 'n Slow Green Beans including their complimentary 6 sauces. The brisket is chopped, most likely because the portion looks a lot smaller otherwise. Both the brisket and ribs seemed to be similarly seasoned with the brisket being more tender and moist. Mac n cheese was tasty but I really liked how the green beans still retained its texture without being overcooked. The okra were crispy and salty. I liked how briney the slaw was but would have liked a little creaminess to it. Overall, we had a good time and enjoyed the casual comfortable environment. Since the sides were good, I would come again but get the protein from elsewhere.

Stopped in before work, was right around the corner from my hotel. Was slightly earlier than normal dinner time so there were not many people inside. I ordered the sliced brisket sandwich with fries and hush puppies. The guy taking my order recommended I get the mustard and sweet sauce and mix them on the sandwich cause that's what he likes, so I went for it. Order came out within 5 minutes, which I was very happy about. Had to try a quick bite of the sides with the sauce first. Fries were pretty dang good, could not complain. Hush puppies were among the best I've ever had. They were crispy, hot, but still soft inside. The two sauces were great by themselves (I preferred the mustard one) but then I put them both on the sandwich together. My god, the worker was right, they were incredible together. The brisket itself was so juicy and tender and had fantastic flavor to it. I'd honestly say it's been some of the best bbq I've had in a very long time, possibly ever. Check them out!

Passing through Asheville on our way back to Nashville TN from the Chapel Hill area. Stopped in for some Carolina BBQ and we were not disappointed! Got a super friendly welcome as soon as we opened the front door, followed by a difficult-to-choose-from menu, excellent service, and delicious food. We both ordered the chopped pork with two sides, he had a local ale, I had Prosecco, and shared a tasty deviled egg starter. Everything was fresh, nicely seasoned, and very homemade tasting. We tried three of the five or six different sauces they offer, and decided the mustard sauce was our favorite by far. We will stop again when we are next in area. You should give it a try, too!

As far as BBQ goes, I feel like this hits the spot. We got a combo tray with brisket, ribs and wings (hot mama). Our sides were Mac n cheese and green beans. The wings were juicy and fall off the bone. The brisket and ribs were a little on the drier side but not too bad. The fat on the brisket melted nicely and the barbecue was delicious. The green beans had so much flavor and the Mac n cheese was pretty standard. The service was super quick. From ordering to receiving our food, it took less than 15 minutes, maybe even less than 10. The ambiance was super cozy inside. They had a nice outdoor seating area.

Great place in Asheville - Extensive menu with options for both meat eaters and vegetarians. Short wait to order. Very comfortable setting with seating both indoor and out. Fair prices. Good music and TVs available. Willing to accommodate my order of no bun for the sandwich. If you do that, order hush puppies on the side.
